(1) Investigating Sales Situations Surveying the state of the products on the market similar to the products we plan to produce and the state of storage of the products to determine the sales method and place of sale.

(2) Determine the specification of the product. Clearly specify the specifications of the packaged product, such as the weight, volume, quantity, coloring, organization, and packaging cost of the packaged product.

(3) Determining the shelf life of the product The packaging basis is determined based on the characteristics of the product and the shelf life required in the market.

(4) Determine the packaging form based on market requirements and refer to the strength and toughness of the products requested by the seller.

(5) Determining the packaging method The packaging method is determined based on the packaging standard and the packaging form. For airtight packaging, the gas barrier property should be based on degassing method and vacuum method. To study the impact resistance, heat resistance and heat shrinkability should be studied based on whether or not to carry out secondary sterilization; in the case of air-containing packaging, the gas barrier properties, oil resistance, and thermal adhesive properties should be studied.

(6) Determine the type of packaging machine According to different packaging methods, decide the type of packaging machine to use.
