Japan's Polyplastics recently announced the launch of the new PPS resin Fortron 1140A66 with low chlorine content to meet the market demand for dechlorination and debromination products.
PPS resin contains no flame retardant, up to UL94V-0 flame rating, suitable for connectors, switches and other electronic devices.
Fortron has fewer internal metal ion magazines and can be used in applications where electrical characteristics are critical, such as those used in semiconductors or test fixtures.
The new grade material is beneficial to the chlorine content of the product. The Fortron 1140A6 has a chlorine content of less than 900 ppm while maintaining excellent mechanical strength and hardness.
