Teach you to solve print quality problems

1, horizontal and vertical stripe solution

a. Make sure the printable side is facing up and load the paper into the document feeder.

b. Run the printhead cleaning application to clean the clogged nozzles.

c. Make sure that the media type selected in the printer software in the control panel matches the type of media loaded in the printer.

d. Make sure the position of the adjustment lever matches the media type. When printing on regular thickness media, move the lever to the “0” position.

2. Color error or loss

a. Run the printhead cleaning application. If the color is still incorrect or missing, replace the color cartridge. If it does not solve the problem, replace the black ink cartridge.

b. Make sure that the ink cartridge you are using has not exceeded the expiration date printed on its box. Also, if you have not used the printer for a long time, please replace it with a new one.

3, the printout is blurred or defaced

a. Make sure the printer is placed on a flat surface that is beyond the printer base in all directions. If it is tilted, the printer will not work properly.

b. Make sure the paper is dry and the printable side is facing up. Also, make sure you are using the correct paper type.

c. Clear all settings in the printer window's main window menu (Windows) or the print dialog (Macintosh) and select Auto as the mode setting.

d. If the paper is curled toward the printable side, use it to flatten or curl it slightly in the opposite direction.

e. Move the lever to the “+” position and make sure the media type setting in the printer driver of the control panel is correct.

f. Remove each printed paper from the paper output, especially when using transparencies.

g. If you are using glossy media or transparencies, place a slip of paper (or plain paper) under the stack of paper, or load only one page at a time.

h. When printing on thick media, move the lever to the “+” position.

i. Run the print head cleaning application tool.

j. Load and exit the dried paper multiple times. If the problem persists, the ink may leak inside the printer. Wipe the inside of the printer with a clean, soft cloth.

4. Printout problems that are not related to print quality If any of the following problems occur, try the listed problem resolution.

a, print out a blank page

Solution: Run the printhead cleaning utility to clean the clogged nozzles.

b, the bottom edge of the printout is smeared

Solution: If the paper is curled toward the printable side, use it to flatten it or curl it slightly in the opposite direction.

c, printing speed is too slow

Workaround: Make sure the media type setting on the printer software control panel is correct.

d, the paper is not fed correctly

Turn on the printer and reload the paper properly.
