1 The status of packaging education

At present, the world-wide packaging higher education is still in its infancy. Western countries and other economically developed countries only started to enter the packaging education in the 1950s. The development of China's packaging education is not unrelated to the guidance of reform and opening up policies. In 1984, the Ministry of Education included the “Packaging Project” as a pilot project for undergraduate programs and successively carried out packaging higher education practices in 17 colleges across the country. After two major catalogue adjustments in 1992 and 1997, “Packaging Project” was formally adopted. Listed as a national undergraduate program for higher education. At the same time, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved the master's and doctoral points for packaging engineering in several colleges and universities, and initially formed a relatively complete education and training system for the “professional, master, and blog” of packaging engineering, which created the development of packaging higher education. good conditions. [1] However, this educational training system was cancelled in a short period of several years. As a result, graduate students majoring in packaging engineering can only be sent down by people and affiliated with other related disciplines. This has defeated the enthusiasm of some colleges and universities in cultivating and packaging high-level talents, and has cultivated The problem of advanced packaging talents is difficult to solve, causing the long-term technical backwardness of the packaging industry and slow development.

2 The need for packaging education reform
2.1 The necessity
2.1.1 started relatively late, compared with foreign countries, China's packaging higher education started in the mid-1980s, and developed countries in Europe and America have developed rapidly since the 1950s in the field of packaging education. For example, Michigan State University, which first implemented packaging education, began packaging education in 1952 to start undergraduate education. In 1957, it began packaging master's education, and packaging doctoral education began in 1994. [2] From this, China's packaging higher education is still far from the developed countries in the world. If we want to keep up with the pace of the world's packaging higher education, we must accelerate the reform and promote development.

2.1.2 The Fundamentals of Packaging Higher Education
The weak basis of packaging higher education in China is mainly reflected in two aspects: First, weak teacher education in packaging higher education. Many of the existing undergraduate education programs in China's packaging higher education are based on the original professional, teachers with qualifications are also trained by other majors, and other teachers are originally graduates of the undergraduate program. This situation makes the current packaging of higher education teachers or education is not high, or non-packaged professional graduation. At the same time, due to the lack of exchanges and cooperation with foreign packaging higher education institutions, there is almost no phenomenon of introducing higher professionals in this field. Therefore, the problem of teachers in packaging higher education has not been solved. On the other hand, the training system for packaging higher education is backward. The infrastructure supporting the packaging education of Chinese universities is not perfect. There are no corresponding laboratories and laboratory equipment. Even if some colleges and universities have corresponding experimental facilities, the students' experiment time is very poor. At the same time, there are few connections between the school and the enterprises in the packaging industry in the society, and there is no base for the integration of production, learning, and research. As a result, students cannot meet the requirements of field operations to cultivate practical ability. Although the students who have been trained in the basic basics are well-learned and their theoretical knowledge is solid, they only score high and low energy. In order to change the backwardness of the packaging higher education in our country, we must change the traditional training mode of packaging education and transform it into the direction of quality education.

2.2 Urgency
Under the premise of world economic integration and China’s accession to the WTO, China’s packaging and higher education needs to be reformed: First, the focus of manufacturing has shifted to China, how to make Chinese products go global, meet the higher demands of consumers, and the role of packaging looks obvious. More and more important, correspondingly, the requirements for the packaging industry and packaging education have also been raised. Second, international exchanges have been increasing. As a result, packaging has gradually come to the world. Domestic packaging companies are facing more powerful competitors. In fact, the competition between countries is the competition for talents, and the packaging industry is no exception. At present, the core issue that restricts the development of the packaging industry in China is the extremely scarcity of advanced packaging talents. Therefore, to fundamentally solve these problems, we must speed up the pace of packaging higher education reform, train packaging talent with competitive strength, and improve China's packaging competitiveness.

3 Ways of packaging education reform
“Introducing and going out” First, we need to adopt the strategy of “bringing in” to learn, introduce foreign packaging systems, and develop a comprehensive discipline of packaging engineering. Introduce teaching methods that combine teaching and practice in foreign countries so that students can be put into practice to enhance their practical and hands-on capabilities, cultivate genuine packaging talents with “heavy ability and high quality”, and introduce foreign “production, learning, and research” as a whole. The teaching and research of the university opened its own teaching and research system of “production, learning, and research”. While introducing systems and learning methods, it is also necessary to introduce talents. The introduction of foreign high-quality packaging talents is the preferred method for solving talents in a short period of time. With the introduction of high-level packaging talents, we will educate and train our packaging talents and enrich our packaging education system. In the long run, it must also be accompanied by "going out" measures to improve the training and training system for packaging talents. There are also several ways to “go global”: such as selecting teachers with potential for development in the country to study and further study in well-developed countries; encouraging outstanding students to study abroad, cultivating exchange students, and learning more advanced packaging knowledge and theories abroad; and organizing packaging on a regular basis. The delegation went abroad to conduct academic and educational exchanges and other activities.

Promoting reform of the packaging education system First of all, the state should give strong support to packaging higher education, change only the formal undergraduate education in the packaging profession, let the packaging master graduate students rely on the status quo in other disciplines, in order to improve the enthusiasm of colleges and universities to cultivate packaging talent. When conditions are ripe, it is allowed to start education for packaging doctoral students and gradually form an integrated education of “study, master, and blog”. Secondly, the state has increased investment in packaging education, adopted modern teaching methods, and strengthened the software construction of packaging specialty; introduced advanced experimental facilities to allow students to go into practice to improve their hands-on capabilities and comprehensively promote the development of packaging higher education to quality education. .

The basic laboratory necessary for the construction of a packaging practice education base, the proprietary laboratory for packaging engineering, and the related professional laboratories for packaging engineering are all open to packaging students at any time. In addition, the school specially arranges students to visit relevant companies for visits and visits. A variety of packaging exhibitions. From theory to practice to theory, a process of continuous improvement is formed. In addition, students can also try to do topics related to packaging companies or packaging research institutions, participate in development and research. In China, some schools have good measures. Promote packaging education to market
There are two specific forms of packaging higher education going to market:

1. Joint ventures run schools to form complementary advantages and take the path of "production, learning, and research." This will not only solve the company's technical problems, improve the quality of employees, but also conducive to student practice, improve the ability to operate, not only the company has done a good job, the school also solved the problem of student internships.

2. Further strengthen the exchanges between enterprises and schools, through the cooperation of schools and enterprises, to cultivate "order-style" talents to meet the community's demand for talent. In addition, the concept of “lifelong education” is also required. Under the conditions of a knowledge economy, not only does the economy develop very quickly, knowledge is updated quickly, and it is necessary to constantly update knowledge in order to gain a foothold in today's society. Therefore, for packaging education, it is possible to implement a “read-back-reading system” for graduate students. As long as I or my work unit needs them, graduates can return to their alma mater to attend classes or specialize in one or two courses. The time can be as long as possible. Really learn in education and improve in learning. After returning to the end of learning, they will return to corporate work, which will further improve their business level and better adapt to social competition and development.
