The invention of a carton with freshness preservation effect

Fruits and vegetables placed at room temperature for too long, will soon rot. Ethylene gas produced by fruits and vegetables itself is the culprit causing food spoilage. The secret of fresh-keeping cartons lies in the color printing of cartons that contain ethylene-absorbing substances. After repeated experiments, it was found that the powder of calcium carbide can not only absorb ethylene, but also dissolve in color ink.

At present, local farmers are packing and shipping apples harvested in the fall. They also started using fresh-keeping cartons to maintain the freshness of apples.
