Laser marking used in packaging (Part 1)

The importance of printing on products

On weekdays, we always talk about the consumption period, use period, and food safety of the goods. All the above information will be printed on the packaging. Some manufacturers once returned all products to the factory due to missing product life. This example shows that the printing on the packaging has a very important role. Many food companies have installed camera sensors in their workshops to check all the goods. It can be seen that they spend a lot of money on printing.

What we often see is the use of gravure or offset printing on the packaging to print the name of the manufacturer, product name, ingredient list and so on. These are called source markings. For consumers, they are to convey various materials of the goods and highlight the brand of the goods, thereby increasing consumers' confidence in the goods. In addition, the period of use on the packaging and the symbols inherent in the manufacturer, which are called direct marking, are printed when the product is finally packaged, which is very important for the safety and standardization of the product. In the past, printing was done by printing, inkjet, and thermal transfer (see Table 1). Now, laser printing has been widely used.

Laser marking for packaging

Laser printing technology itself has long been used as a surface cutting printing on the surface of metal parts and electronic parts. Laser printing methods that can be adapted to packaging purposes, part of which uses carbon dioxide gas laser methods, which are mainly divided into two types, one is to use the irradiation energy of laser to carbonize the surface of the irradiated part to describe the text, and the other is to be in advance After the ink layer printed on the ground is removed by laser, the background color is used to describe the text. These practices are mainly aimed at cartons and thicker resin surfaces, which are characterized by the need for special consumables and reduced operating costs.

However, there is a problem that when carbonizing the surface of the irradiated portion, carbon dioxide gas is inevitably generated, and furthermore, the cutting blade becomes dust splash when cutting is used for printing.

In the face of the above-mentioned problems, the dust collector is currently used to deal with it. In the packaging of medicines and foods, it should be carried out in the clean room. However, the market very much hopes to develop a dust-free laser printing method. The current imprinting method, which always prints on the surface, cannot be denied that the content of the printing will become blurred due to friction or staining. Furthermore, in the existing food packaging, flexible packaging using plastic film is the mainstream, so it is possible to damage the packaging substrate. Therefore, the above-mentioned laser printing method using carbonization or cutting cannot be said to be very suitable for products using flexible packaging.

Surgical Mask is composed of mask face and tension belt, the mask face is divided into three layers: inner, middle and outer. The inner layer is skin-friendly material, the middle layer is isolation and filtration layer, and the outer layer is bacteriostatic layer of special material. This highly efficient surgical mask has a strong hydrophobic permeability, and it has a significant filtering effect on the tiny aerosol with virus or harmful dust, but it cannot effectively filter PM10 and PM2.5. The overall filtering effect is good, and the materials used are non-toxic and harmless and comfortable to wear. This efficient surgical mask has strong air permeability, light weight, comfortable, tasteless, no fiberglass, no irritation to skin, and is waterproof. Soft and comfortable adjustable nose clip.
