"Ultraviolet edge imaging spectrometer atmospheric component detection and inversion technology" passed the acceptance

On the afternoon of April 28th, an expert team assigned by the National Remote Sensing Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology conducted on-site acceptance of the 863 project "Ultraviolet Imaging Spectrometer Atmospheric Composition Detection and Inversion Technology" hosted by Duan Minzheng, a researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The acceptance meeting was presided over by Wang Dianzhong, National Remote Sensing Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the expert group was led by Researcher Lu Naiman (leader) of the National Meteorological Satellite Center, Researcher Lin Mingsen of the Satellite Application Center of the Ocean Bureau, Professor Zhou Guoqing of Guilin University of Technology, Researcher Zhang Jingfa of the Seismological Bureau, and Lin Ke It consists of Researcher Li Zengyuan, Researcher Xu Peng of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace, and Researcher Zhao Fengsheng of Beijing Normal University. Zhu Jiang, deputy director of the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences attended the acceptance meeting.

This project is a special project of the new remote sensor technology in the field of Earth Observation and Navigation Technology of the 863 Plan. It is a high-tech project that combines the development of instruments and software and hardware of remote sensing technology. The purpose is to "achieve a full atmosphere, omnidirectional, hyperspectral, and high Temporal and spatial resolution to observe modalities on the ground, to explore and improve human cognition of atmospheric characteristics. " In 2009, Academician Lu Daren served as a scientific consultant, Zhang Wenxing, senior engineer of the Institute of Atmosphere, was responsible for the technical demonstration of the project ’s load. Associate researcher Guo Xia was responsible for the development of the atmospheric radiation transmission mode and inversion algorithm for the ball face. Wang Yong, senior engineer was responsible for field verification observation experiments, Chinese Academy of Sciences Changchun Optics Institute is responsible for load design, development and calibration.

After three years of hard work, the project team has developed a ground-based prototype of the on-board observation system, and conducted comprehensive field observation and verification tests on the developed prototype system in the grasslands of Xilinguole League in Inner Mongolia and the Namco Plateau in Tibet (4,800 meters above sea level). The non-uniform atmospheric rim radiation transmission mode and the corresponding inversion algorithm are the first to achieve ground observation of atmospheric ring-edge imaging. The prototype system and radiation transmission mode developed by the project team have not been reported at home and abroad, and they are highly innovative and scientifically advanced.

At the acceptance meeting, the expert group listened carefully to the research report of Duan Minzheng on behalf of the research team on the work summary and related achievements of the three years, and the field prototype system developed by the field test. The expert group highly recognized the project team's achievements, and believed that many of the project's achievements were at the international frontier, with original innovation and strong potential for subsequent development.

Is rubberwood good for cutting boards?

This wood has a high grain density and characteristics much like teak, which makes it a durable species for green flooring and for green furniture. An added bonus to using this wood for cutting boards would be its natural resistance to mold and fungus. Rubber trees are farmed on plantations in Southeast Asia.

Care instructions for wooden kitchenware

Wooden cutting boards and kitchenware are natural products and do not need any
particular care. However it is recommended to handle them as follow:
After use, wipe with a damp cloth and remove all leftovers, put the wet boards upright
and let them dry. This is essential to let enough air around the board otherwise the boards can warp. For technical and biological reasons the boards are not made of one single piece but of one or many pieces glued together depending on the size, they should by no means be put in the dishwasher. For untreated wooden products we recommend wood care mineral oil.
