The noise generated by the water curtain of the pump is also difficult to avoid. The cost of cleaning and repairing wet equipment is also large.

Because of this, while the wet adsorption separation and paint removal technology equipment was improved, the dry filtration adsorption and paint removal technology equipment came into being. The earliest application method was improved on the basis of the oil curtain spray booth, that is, the door panels were overlapped and placed similarly to the oil curtain plate. It is not difficult to imagine that it is not enough to change the direction of the airflow so that the paint mist sticks to the wall of the board except for the paint mist efficiency. For this reason, a fiber filter mat is added at the back, and the dry spray booth has the effect of removing the paint mist. Still not bad, overcoming the main shortcomings of the wet type. However, due to the consideration of the cleaning of the stacking paint and the replacement of the fiber mat, a maintenance passage and an access door are required between the two, so the floor space is more than doubled than the original wet type. There are also a lot of materials for the equipment, and the same amount of cleaning and maintenance work is also required. In addition, we also saw some of the intermittent spray coating production stations, placing the fiber filter mat in front of the stack, which eliminates the need for maintenance access and reduces the amount of cleaning work on the stack. From the effect of use, the viscous paint will quickly block the surface of the fiber. Although this fiber gasket is not expensive, it is not suitable for use on the assembly line because it is replaced too frequently.

In recent years, with the development of spraying equipment technology at home and abroad, new developments have been made in this respect. With the strengthening of human environmental awareness, higher requirements have been put forward for the treatment of overspray in coating production. In order to catch up with the pace of the times, China's painting industry has absorbed the foreign coating equipment technology, and combined with the national conditions to develop a composite pleated labyrinth paper paint mist absorption separator, its idea is to absorb the spray paint Separation efficiency and durability of the material, considering that it is suitable for the original wet or dry air paint removal system, that is, the original ventilation system does not change, just use this to replace the water (oil) curtain or fiber filter mat portion. The separator is folded with a special composite corrugated paper, punched and bonded to form a V-shaped labyrinth pleated cardboard, and then assembled with a metal frame plate to form an efficient paint removal mist separator.

The working principle of this paint removal mist separator is the special design and distribution of the holes in each V-shaped labyrinth, so that the airflow produces a Venturi cyclone effect. The paint liquid that has sprayed the paint mist is allowed to stay and accumulate on the V-shaped wall of the labyrinth.

Efficient separation is derived from this venturi effect, which is the combination of the inertia of the paint in the paint mist and the local variation of the airflow velocity and direction in the labyrinth. The long-term use of this labyrinth separator is mainly the V shape of each labyrinth. The cavity can provide enough space for lacquer accumulation and separation. The separation effect on the paint mist is greater than any of the wet or dry filtration, the service life can be more than 5 times that of the fiber web, and the separation efficiency can reach 98%.

The application of the composite pleated labyrinth paper adsorption and separation spray painting technology makes the design of the spray booth more expensive and the V-shaped labyrinth adsorption separation tank can be placed upright and is rigid. Designed and installed, it is very convenient to install and replace. The V-shaped pleated labyrinth can be folded like an accordion for easy mailing, handling, storage, and natural deployment during installation. Compared with other large-volume filter mats, it is more convenient to operate, and the running cost is lower than that of the water curtain pump of the similar water curtain spray booth, which saves the material cost of water and paint fog coagulant.

The newly developed DN-210 series composite pleated labyrinth paperboard separators are available in H680, each of which is unfolded as B840. Insert it into the dividing grid, position it with the stop bar on the top and bottom, and stick it with the packing tape at the two joints. After using for a period of time, if it is found that the front plate hole of the V-shaped cardboard is blocked, just replace this piece. When replacing, just unscrew the upper and lower stop bars, take the stop strip, and tear the tape. Pull it down with a hook and attach the new cardboard. Generally, it is not necessary to replace all of them, and it is economical to replace them in places with a lot of paint mist.
